Whether you need a few days of methodological input or someone to run a study end to end, the contracting side should be the easy part. Here is how it works.
Engagement models
Project-based
A defined scope, deliverables, and timeline — a protocol, a feasibility assessment, or a full study through to publication. Priced as a fixed fee or at the baseline rate, agreed before work begins.
Retainer
A set number of hours or days per month for ongoing support: methodological review, ad-hoc analyses, KOL and stakeholder engagement, or acting as the epidemiology lead across a portfolio.
Contract and interim roles
Embedded in your team for a fixed term to cover a gap, lead a workstream, or add capacity at peak periods. Available on a day-rate basis, [directly or through your preferred staffing partner].
How contracting works
Confidentiality first. I'm happy to sign your NDA, or provide mine, before we discuss anything project-specific.
Scope and proposal. After task planning you receive a written proposal covering deliverables, timeline, vendors, and the package.
Agreement. Work is covered by a consultancy agreement, or by your master services agreement with a statement of work. I contract through RRMEGS registered in Switzerland, and can be onboarded as a vendor through your procurement process.
Kick-off. Once signed, we agree governance — points of contact, meeting cadence, reporting — and start.

Data protection: I work to GDPR / UK GDPR / Swiss FADP as applicable and can sign a data processing agreement where patient-level data is involved
Independence: potential conflicts of interest are disclosed up front, and I don't take on directly competing engagements without your knowledge
Insurance: professional indemnity cover in place; details on request
Every engagement starts from a single baseline rate, so you know where pricing begins before we've exchanged more than an email. The final package is agreed once we've planned the tasks and finalised the scope of project support.

GBP and EUR figures are indicative equivalents at current mid-market rates. Invoices are issued in CHF unless otherwise agreed and rates are fixed at the time of agreement.

How pricing works
Introductory call. We talk through your research question, the data available, timelines, and what you need delivered.
Task planning and scope. Together we define the tasks, the deliverables, and the level of project support required — from focused methodological input to end-to-end delivery.
Package proposal. Based on the agreed scope, I propose a final package: time-based at the baseline rate, a fixed fee per deliverable, or a monthly retainer for ongoing support.
Nothing is invoiced until the scope and package are agreed in writing.
